Review by hotel critic
The location, just a stone's throw away from Santa Maria Novella Church and the train station, provided the perfect gateway to all of Florence's marvels. the breakfast buffet was a treat with a special mention for the oat milk - a thoughtful touch for discerning guests like me. The rooftop bar offered a panoramic view that captured the essence of Florence, from the Duomo's elegant shape to the rolling hills in the backdrop. the swimming pool area and garden were tranquil retreats after a day of exploring the city's treasures. the friendly staff and excellent service added to the charm of this historical gem turned modern oasis. As an art historian, I appreciated the hotel's commitment to preserving its heritage, from the impressive ancient columns adorned with Ionic capitals to the harmonious fusion of Tuscan Renaissance architecture and contemporary design. the attention to detail extended to the restaurant, "il Coccodrillo," serving classic Italian cuisine made with fresh produce and wines from the owner's family farm in Tuscany. Whether enjoying a cocktail in the cozy bar, savoring Tuscan delicacies, or unwinding on the spacious terrace, Hotel Croce Di Malta catered to all my needs. It truly was a memorable experience that I would love to share with my fellow art enthusiasts on future travels to this enchanting city.
